Abbi Jacobson, Whitney Peak & Susie Essman Star In Audible College Admissions Podcast ‘Big Envelopes’ From Aaron & Will Eisenberg & Treefort Media

EXCLUSIVE: Abbi Jacobson, Whitney Peak and Susie Essman are among the cast for Audible’s new scripted comedy podcast series about college admissions.

The trio are starring in Big Envelopes, which was created by Aaron Eisenberg and Will Eisenberg and produced by Treefort Media.

A League of Their Own star Jacobson, Gossip Girl star Peak and Curb Your Enthusiasm star Essman will be joined by Judy Greer (Archer), Timothy Simons (Veep), Aaron Taylor Jennings (Grand Crew), and The Sklar Brothers (Dumb People Town) in the comedy series.

Launching on December 14, the series is a satire that gives listeners a  peek behind the ivy curtain of the juggernaut $10B college admissions industry.

It used to be: Make good grades, get good SAT scores, write a good essay, and you were on your way to a good college. Now? Kiss that world goodbye. Merit isn’t a sure thing. Connections are everything. And money talks—a lot.

Enter Kelly Pritzker (Jacobson), a shrewd, New Jersey-based college “consultant” who isn’t above faking athletic profiles, seducing administrators, greasing palms, and juicing GPAs. When it comes to getting the underqualified and uber-privileged into the Ivy League, Kelly’s the closest thing you’ll find to a guarantee… if you can afford her, that is.

But after an admissions scandal breaks on the West Coast, anonymous letters start appearing in Kelly’s mailbox, threatening to take down her entire operation. And when a mysterious teenager, Hadley (Peak), shows up at her door, a revelation about both of their pasts starts to upend Kelly’s present.

The six-episode series was written by WGA-award nominated team Aaron Eisenberg & Will Eisenberg, who also direct. Big Envelopes is produced by Treefort Media, and executive produced by the Eisenbergs, Jacobson, and Aaron Brown.

Big Envelopes is the Eisenbergs’ first audio series and reunites them with Greer, who starred in Good Boy, which they wrote for Blumhouse Television’s horror series Into the Dark. Their credits also include the horror-comedy Cursed Friends, which premiered on Comedy Central in 2022.

“We are honored to bring the wit of the Eisenberg brothers to life through these characters,” said Kelly Garner, CEO and Founder of Treefort Media. “We are confident that listeners will be as drawn into these laugh-out loud scenarios as we were.”

The Eisenbergs are repped by Avalon Management, CAA, and attorney Derek Kroeger. Jacobson is repped by UTA.  Essman is represented by Buchwald. Greer is represented by CAA, Artists First, and Felker, Toczek, Suddleson, Abramson, Mcginnis, Ryan LLP.  Simons is represented by UTA. Jennings is represented by Innovative Artists. The Sklar Brothers are represented by Artists First. Treefort Media is represented by CAA. Peak is repped at CAA, Canopy Media Partners, Play Management, and Jackoway Austen Tyerman Wertheimer Mandelbaum Morris Bernstein Trattner & Klein.
